ShareMyGarden.com is an online gardening community that invites people to set up garden profiles unique to their area, which they can then choose to share with others. ShareMyGarden.com allows users to view family member’s gardens, friend’s gardens, or start online communication with new gardeners and discuss tips, similarities, differences and photos of what they grow. Each gardening profile contains as much of little information as the user needs to facilitate interaction with other gardeners so they can share insights from a whole host of geographical locations without ever leaving their yard. The system allows the online gardener to update or change their profile at any time to reflect their current interests and gives the user the option of being able to control online communication with others. Members also have the option of starting online gardening groups with discussion forums, and blogs. To fulfill the purpose of this site, some personal information we ask for is displayed to people within these personal networks. Anyone with any questions can email us at privacy@ShareMyGarden.com.

Information Gathering and Implementation by ShareMyGarden.com
To start we need your name and a valid email address so we can send any notices or updates about the site. ShareMyGarden.com will also store “non-personally-identifiable” data such as an IP address, browser type from user on the site in order to keep the site humming along efficiently. The IP addresses are stored for monitoring and security.

Garden profiles are posted to assist the communication between gardeners. An email address may be used to invite other gardeners to join, add a member to your community or to send information related to the service but they will not be shared or posted for any other reason. These communications go through the ShareMyGarden.com service without your email displayed. No gardener’s full names or email addresses are displayed to other member gardeners. We may use a gardeners email address to send news about the service and those not wishing to receive these missives can block them by checking the appropriate box in your settings.

Gardeners who wish to invite non-members to join
ShareMyGarden.com members can invite other gardeners to join by sending ShareMyGarden.com their friend's email address. ShareMyGarden.com will not sell these email addresses or use them for any other purpose unless required by law or for the protection of the members of the site. ShareMyGarden.com members can store email addresses in their personal address book. The friend may contact Share My Garden.com to request the removal of this information from our database.
